Position yourself right and you could see all the way over to Öland (the island) and Borgholm. Kalmar with its many historic sites, including the Kalmar Castle, also offers an amazing amount of restaurants and pubs for its size as well as shopping. The Kingdom of Glass incl KostaBoda and Orrefors a 45 drive. Or take the 3 hr ferry to Visby on Gotland to experience Medieval times. The area is ideal for canoers, bikers and hikers. Whether crossing between the small islands along the coast or taking it to Alsterån (creek for swimming, boating and fishing) or a bit further to Emån. Golfing is offered in Mönsterås (13 km) as well as Kalmar (Värsnäs – 30 km).
